Meet the founders
Research Pros was founded in 2007, by Michael Kiernan and David Crum, both graduates of the George Washington University National Law Center. Legal Research Pros meets the growing demand of American lawyers to increase their profitability, reduce their work hours, improve their work product, and perhaps most importantly, increase their quality of life. We understand the day to day needs and pressures of running a law practice, from a solo firm to a large litigation practice.
Michael Kiernan, ESQ.Undergraduate: State University of New York at Binghamton (B.A. - History, 1991)
Law School: George Washington University National Law Center (J.D. 1994)
Michael has been an attorney for over twenty years. Michael began his career as a civil litigator, and later worked in the fields of criminal defense and domestic relations. After a brief hiatus from the law to pursue other challenges, Michael returned to the legal field as co-founder of Legal Research Pros, with the goal of focusing on the thing he enjoys the most, research and writing. Michael has developed both a passion and proficiency for scouring over research to craft compelling and creative arguments. While Michael is adept at fashioning arguments in any field of law, he has developed a particular expertise in dealing with issues of federal civil procedure.
Cheyenne Kiernan, ESQ.Undergraduate Studies: University of New Mexico (B.A. - Psychology & Criminology, 2005)
Law School: Gonzaga University School of Law (J.D. 2009)
Upon graduation from law school, Cheyenne began working for LRP, handling both civil and criminal appellate work. Cheyenne then took a job as an ADA in a high volume unit specializing in domestic violence prosecutions. Cheyenne was recognized by local police for her achievements in that role. Cheyenne has since returned to LRP, and, drawing on her litigation experience, has expanded her focus on criminal defense matters. Cheyenne also consults in the United Kingdom, giving her international experience, focused primarily on white collar crime. Her commitment to pro bono work is exemplified in her recent work on matters involving international child abduction.
David Crum, ESQ.Undergraduate Studies: Boston University (1991)
Law School: George Washington University National Law Center (J.D. 1995)
While in Washington D.C., David worked with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the United States Attorney’s Office. After relocating to New Mexico, he became the managing partner of New Mexico Legal Group, and was involved in major litigation involving employment discrimination, civil rights, torts and white collar crime. David is a frequent lecturer on a wide range of topics from the use of experts to modern practice management techniques.
